The short version. We collect what you type into our contact, appointment and vehicle inquiry forms, and we use it to answer you. We do not sell your information. We are not able to promise that nobody else ever handles it — our website host processes every form you send, because that is how the form reaches us. The detail is below.
Who we are
This website, lemotorsports.shop, is operated by L&E Motorsports, a used vehicle sales and automotive service business located at 678 N 36th Street, Lafayette, Indiana 47905. In this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” mean L&E Motorsports. “You” means anyone visiting or using this website.
This policy covers this website only. It does not cover what happens in person at our lot, over the phone, or on a third party’s website that you reach by following a link from ours.
What we collect from you
We only receive personal information through this website when you choose to send it. There is no account system, no login and no newsletter signup. These are the three forms on the site and exactly what each one asks for:

Please do not send us sensitive information through these forms. We do not ask for and do not want your Social Security number, driver’s licence number, date of birth, or bank or card details through this website. If an application needs that kind of information, it is handled separately — see Financing applications below.
Information collected automatically
Some information is created simply by your browser requesting a page. We have kept this section limited to what is actually true of this site.
Our website host
This website is hosted by Netlify. Like any web host, Netlify’s servers receive and may log standard request information, which typically includes your IP address, the page requested, the date and time, your browser and operating system, and the referring page. We use Netlify to serve the site and to receive form submissions; we do not use that server data to build a profile of you. Netlify processes this information as our service provider and under its own privacy terms.
Analytics
If — and only if — you allow the Analytics category in our cookie choices, we load a visit-counting script provided by Elevated Peak Marketing. We have checked what that script does. It sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser. When it runs, it sends the following to Elevated Peak Marketing:
- the address of the page you are on;
- the address of the page that referred you, if any;
- campaign tags in the link you followed, if any
(
utm_source,utm_medium,utm_campaign); - a coarse device type — mobile, tablet, desktop or bot;
- your browser family, such as Chrome or Safari;
- the date and time;
- whether the visit included a tracked action, such as tapping a call button.
As with any request over the internet, the receiving server necessarily sees the IP address the request came from. The script itself does not collect or transmit an IP address, and it creates no persistent identifier, so it does not follow you between sites or between visits.
If you decline Analytics, or if you simply never answer the cookie banner, that script is never loaded and no request is made to Elevated Peak Marketing at all.
What is not here
We think it is worth being specific about what this site does not run, because many dealership websites do. As of the date above, this website contains no Google Analytics, no Google Tag Manager, no advertising or remarketing pixels, no social media tracking pixels, no session-recording or heatmap tools, and no live-chat widget. The typefaces are served from this website rather than loaded from Google Fonts, so no font service sees your visit either.
Cookies and browser storage
This website sets no first-party cookies. The only thing we store in your browser is a record of your cookie choice, so we do not have to ask you on every page. Third-party content that you allow — currently only the Google Map on our Contact page — may set its own cookies and storage.
Our Cookie Policy explains each category in full, including how long things last and how to change your mind. You can reopen your choices at any time using the link in the footer of every page.
How we use your information
We use what you send us to:
- reply to your question, by phone, text message or email;
- arrange, confirm, reschedule or follow up on an appointment you asked for;
- answer a question about a specific vehicle, arrange a test drive, or tell you whether a vehicle is still available;
- give you a price or an estimate for service, tires or detailing;
- keep a record of the work we have discussed or carried out for you; and
- meet our legal, tax and recordkeeping obligations.
We contact you about the thing you contacted us about. We do not use this website to build a marketing list, and submitting a form here does not sign you up for promotional emails or texts. If that ever changes, we will ask for your agreement separately, it will be optional, and it will never be a condition of buying a vehicle or booking service.
When your information is shared
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not rent or trade it for anyone else’s marketing.
We do rely on a small number of service providers to run the website, and your information necessarily passes through them. It would be inaccurate for us to claim otherwise. They are:
- Netlify — hosts this website and receives and stores form submissions so that they reach us.
- Apple (iCloud Mail) — our business email is an iCloud address, so any email notification of your enquiry, and any email reply we send you, is handled by Apple’s mail service.
- Elevated Peak Marketing — receives the visit information listed above, and only if you allow Analytics.
- Google — only if you allow Functional content, the map on our Contact page is loaded from Google. If you do not allow it, your browser never contacts Google on our behalf: the site’s typefaces are served from this website rather than from Google Fonts.
We may also share information where we genuinely have to: to comply with the law, a subpoena or a lawful request from a public authority; to establish, exercise or defend a legal claim; to protect the rights, property or safety of L&E Motorsports, our customers or the public; or as part of a sale or transfer of the business, in which case the information would be transferred subject to this policy.
Financing applications
Where this website offers financing, the “Apply for Financing” links take you to startyourcreditapproval.com, which is operated by a third party and is not part of this website.
Any information you enter on that site — including anything sensitive that a credit application asks for — is collected by that third party, on their systems, under their privacy policy and terms, not ours. We do not control that website, we do not operate it, and this policy does not apply to it. Please read their privacy policy before you submit an application. If they later share application results with us as the selling dealer, we handle what we receive in line with this policy.
The monthly payment estimator shown on vehicle pages runs entirely in your own browser. It does not send anything anywhere, it is not an application, and the figures it shows are illustrative only — not an offer, a quote or a rate.
How long we keep information
We keep enquiry and appointment information for as long as we need it to deal with your request and to keep reasonable business records — for example, a record of a vehicle sale or of service work performed — and for as long as tax, accounting and other legal obligations require. After that, we dispose of it.
Security
This website is served over HTTPS, so what you send from a form is encrypted in transit. We limit access to enquiries to the people at L&E Motorsports who need to act on them.
We want to be straightforward with you: no website or method of transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. That is why we ask you not to send sensitive identity or payment details through this website.
Your choices and requests
You are in control of what you send us, because everything we collect here is something you typed into a form.
- Cookies and analytics. Change your choice at any time with the link in the footer, or through your browser settings.
- Contact preferences. Tell us how you would rather be reached — phone, text or email — and we will use that. Ask us to stop contacting you and we will.
- Access, correction and deletion. You can ask us what enquiry information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Contact us using the details below. We may need to confirm your identity first, and we may need to keep records we are legally required to keep.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under your state’s privacy law. If you believe you do, contact us and we will work with you in good faith.
Children’s privacy
This website is intended for adults. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information through this website, please contact us and we will delete it.
Other websites we link to
This site links out to places including our financing provider, CARFAX vehicle history reports, Google Maps, Google reviews, and the inventory management system our listings come from. Once you follow a link, you are on someone else’s website, governed by their privacy policy and terms. We are not responsible for their content or their data practices.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the website or the business changes. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. If a change materially affects the optional cookies or tracking used on this site, we will ask for your cookie choices again rather than relying on an answer you gave about a different setup.
